Exam Fever

Exam is something we cannot avoid in our life. But for me, exam is one kind of humiliation to human beings. Just like I tell my teachers or lecturers that I have studied and understood every theories, but they just don't believe you and take out a piece of paper and want you to prove it.

One day trip to Mid Valley

It has been a while I didn't go back to PJ.
Last week, we had our ji mui gathering at Mid Valley.
I planned to take a lot of pictures but ended up with only 4 pictures.
Whyyyyy??   Because we were too busy doing our shopping and I also forgot to press the camera button.
Anyway, just share those pictures with you guys la~

We were on our way to KL. The weather was fine.

We had our lunch at Sushi TEI. I didn't try the sushi because you know, I just don't like it. I ordered Ramen.

You see, their face were not so friendly at that time because they were so famished and had no mood to take picture. Haha

Yik Hong and I. She was late that day......but still look marvelous~

Roman Holiday

I just watched the movie 'Roman Holiday'. This is my first black&white movie.
I had been searching for this movie for a while but still couldn't find it. My friend knew about this and downloaded it for me. Sweet....thank you >.< (And I wanna tell you that actually I found it too on PPS)

I fell in love with her performance in 'My Fair Lady' and would like to see her act in 'Roman Holiday' which is the movie she won her first Best Actress Oscar. She is the princess --- Audrey Hepburn.

To tell you the story, I shall let you read the review of the movie.

Roman Holiday (1953) is a delightful, captivating fairy-tale romance shot entirely on location in Rome, and produced and directed by one of Hollywood's most skillful, distinguished, professional and eminent directors - William Wyler.
The film's bittersweet story is a charming romantic-comedy, a kind of Cinderella tale in reverse (with an April-October romance). A runaway princess (Hepburn) rebels against her royal obligations and escapes the insulated confines of her royal prison to find a 'Prince Charming' commoner - an American reporter (Peck) covering the royal tour in Rome. The story was reportedly based on the real-life Italian adventures of British Princess Margaret.

From this movie, I saw not only the romance of the story but also the society at that time.
People were so naive and willing to take a stranger to stay at their home.
And I also found that there were not many tourists in Rome but most of them were locals.
With only 1.5US dollars, the princess could have a hair cut and an ice-cream. Things were so cheap at that time.
The media must be very lousy because the people there did not even recognize the princess when she was walking freely on the street.
And also not many cars and many people were still traveling by bicycle. The air must be fresh due to less pollution.

Firstly, I thought black&white movies must be very boring but this movie is quite interesting. And surprisingly, there is no Hollywood-happy-ending in this movie and leave some regrets to the audiences. That is the part I like--- realistic.
